E-Grip Magnet???

I just went out and bought myself my Christmas present of an E-grip. But in the package was a small round (flat) magnet (3/8" dia. x 1/16" depth). The instructions do not mention this magnet. So my question is, what is it for?

Re: E-Grip Magnet???

I bought one two weeks ago also, and it had the same magnet in the box. I called tippmann and asked what it was for. If you look in the grip handle there is a slot for it underneath the solenid plunger, it helps bring the plunger back down. It is a ***** to get in there cuz the magnet is so strong.

if you need more help, I can post pics when I get home from work.

Re: E-Grip Magnet???

Glue it inside either side of the grip just under the solenoid. It kills the magnetic field on the solenoid and also helps draw it back down (reset)

Re: E-Grip Magnet???

That magnet made me nearly go nuts. My e grip developed a fault which was once a pull the trigger it did not stop firing. For two months I want nuts trying to fix it, then I found out about the magnet. Yes the magnet had fallen out at some point.

Re: E-Grip Magnet???

Magnet? what magnet?! I have two egrips - OEM and W.A.S. - and no magnet in either of them. I did buy them used though, and have not had too much of a problem. Is there a part number for the magnet and is it available for purchase? Or Will any magnet of similar dimension do?

Re: E-Grip Magnet???

MG... any rare earth magnet of similar dimensions will work. Or you could buy the OEM magnet (link)
