Re: Guess whats in the Works for November

UGHH!... back to the drawing board again, what timing. Did any one get a look at the trigger itself? is it the same as the A5?

That's awesome! If I didn't already have an e-grip, I would have really considered this.

Doesn't the X7 Egrip not use an armature pin?

How would that be translated to the sear of an A5?

I guess it would work because there`s a guy that adapted the X7 e-grip on a A5 ... and its a very simple prosess

here`s the link of the thread: Select-fire A5 with pictures!

Re: Guess whats in the Works for November

The sear is a completely different design.

No armature pin is used. The solenoid is located behind under/behind the sear.
Heres a picture:

I believe it uses the standard 2 screw mounting points. Much like standard markers. Its probably equivalent to an A5 egrip with the grip adapter block on it from the looks of it. You would not be able to reverse the ASA if it is like the a5 adapter.

X7 egrip triggers are nothing like A5 triggers. The have a larger profile on the internal side. Also you need magnets to use the halls effect system to trip the sensors. But tippmannparts sells the magnets:
TA10072 Trigger/Safety/Selector Magnet [X7E]
You can see the one magnet on the bottom right of the trigger. The other magnet is set inside the selector switch.

Please tell me it comes stock with burst and proper FA...

yeah if this requires three semi auto shots before it goes full auto then I will just stick with my normal egrip.

Re: Guess whats in the Works for November

yeah that's the only problem I'm having with it... i'd prefer a safe/semi/3 round burst startup setting w/o having to fire 3 shots first.

But do you know for sure if we would be able to slap on a X7 APE Rampage board on it???

Re: Guess whats in the Works for November

I cant be 100% positive but am very confident that they utilize the same board.

Only shims were made and new holes redrilled for the X7 retrofit onto the A5. I did not modify anything else. So i dont see a reason why Tippmann would invest into completly redesigning the frame when it could just be easily fitted on by reducing the width of the upper part of the frame with new pushpin holes.
