RT Rubber Band Mod

K I'm just giving fair warning. I have no data that backs this up. I did this in theory and I have no idea if it actually did a thing for me during test firing.

Reason for mod: Improve length and duration of bursts.

Material needed: One tan large rubber band (Like you find in the grocery store in the school supply section)

Super Glue

Tools: scissors or like I did, a pocket knife.

Prep measure the width of the flat spot on the back of your trigger where it makes contact with the RT piston. You then cut a piece of the rubber band the same width. (Advice) Cut two pieces in case you loose one of them you have the other.

Pull the grip from your marker. Then Pull the trigger from the frame as if you were doing the clicky pen trigger spring mod. In my mind I think of it as a trigger module as it really holds the whole trigger system outside of the bolt it's self.

Once you pull the trigger from your grip super glue that lil piece of rubber band to the back of your trigger. Wait for it to harden.

After hardening

Perform regular maintainance, be sure to check everything on or in the grip you normally check as if you had just used the marker.

insert the trigger and saftey back into the grip. Then attach your grip back to the marker.

Theory: Sometimes I felt as if the RT piston would "bounce" the trigger forward too far. So I asked myself how to stop this. Then I thought of a few things in terms of force reduction. Like the recoiless cannon system, recoil compensation systems, and then I thought of their theoretical purpose. To counter the unwanted force of an object to steady the object under opperation. So I looked at the recoilless cannon system and how it works. It's a dampening system, it takes the brunt force of the barrel recoil and reverses it's motion through simple mechanics. I asked if I could apply the theory of a dampener. The answer was yes, a rubber band. It would act as a cushion. The elastisity of the piece of band would spread some of the force of the piston accross the piece of rubber and then rebound it's shape for the next shot. All of it in micro seconds. Giving me an opportunity to keep the trigger in the sweet spot just a lil bit longer and limit the "over-bounce" just a lil more.

I reccommend this mod to be used along with the clicky pen trigger spring mod.

Re: RT Rubber Band Mod

Yeah Lemme get some pics up. It's real simple it just redirects some of the force in theory. I'll pull it out and stuff. My barrel is air drying from the chops from another mod but I got it in sync with the cyclone's speed and it's ok, but the chops are unrelated.

Re: RT Rubber Band Mod

Just for notification of fresh pics I'll double post this time. I'm not the best pic taker in the world I just got this 10.2 megapixel digital camera last thursday so I'm still learning.

As you can tell there is the clicky pen trigger spring mod.

The trigger module is in my hand close to the camera. This is the absolute back of the trigger. The tan thing on all the pictures is the piece of rubber band.

Re: RT Rubber Band Mod

i love R/T, i'm interested to see how this works as well.

in theory it seems ok, but it may not add that much of a noticable benefit
