Pissed! Won't stop firing in burst and full auto modes

Alright, so i put the e-grip on last winter, fires just fine without gas, but as soon as i pressure up the system and fire in any other mode than semi, the damn thing just keeps firing until the bolt slips or i bring back the cocker...

I've tried stretching the rear spring (not the red one) to make it a little stiffer, but it still does it. do i need a new spring or is it something else?

Re: Won't stop firing in burst and full auto modes

Could be the valve spring wearing down, too low of psi, sear/hammer worn...

This is another thread that covered the same problem. See if this helps.

Re: Won't stop firing in burst and full auto modes

well i found that my magnet was out of place...fixed that, gassed up and still the same problem...
any ideas where to get stronger springs, new springs, or how to adjust the debounce?

kinda new to fixing these things myself if you haven't guessed...

Has the egrip ever worked right? Or is this a new problem?

Re: Won't stop firing in burst and full auto modes

Welcome to the forum. There have been other threads started about this. You may have to run more than one search and word it a little different. Also you really do not need to swear. Have a good forum with good members. Just really is not needed.

Check the sear. Make sure you have the right one. The Egrip sear will have a round hole. The mech one will be oval shaped. You cannot interchange them. Especially since you added the Egrip. Did you change the whole grip or did you have to add your trigger group to the egrip? Also check the sear and rear bolt for wear. I have seen sears and rear bolts worn to the point that the sear will not catch the bolt. Good luck.

Re: Won't stop firing in burst and full auto modes

the gun was used when i bought it a few years ago, the egrip was new and i replaced all the components it instructed me to...it's got the metal sear in now, the bolt seems fine, but it's still the stocker...was thinkin about a replacement...would a rufus dawg be alirght? also do i need to replace to replace the powertube as well?

thanks for the welcome...my bad on the language.

Re: Won't stop firing in burst and full auto modes

you need to remove the plate and spring on the trigger that trips the sear bc the sears is now being tripped by solinoid not the trigger anymore
i had the same problem as you till i figured it out
