Re: Tippmann A5 response trigger help

Remove the fitting at the receiver and plug the hole. You may have to call Tippmann or hit up a pb shop to get the little plug.

Re: Tippmann A5 response trigger help

Tippmann may have included an additional fitting in your kit if your A5 came with the RT installed. I would double check your original kit's parts bag, it may be in there. If not, simply give Tippmann a call...

Re: Tippmann A5 response trigger help

I had this problem.

You will need the plastic plug screw which sealed the other hole when you bought the A5. If you do not have one of these, a receiver bolt will function in its place.

You will also need a receiver bolt and nut. These can be found in any A5 parts kit.

Firstly, unscrew the banjo fitting which leads to the R/T valve. Plug the resultant hole in the receiver using the plastic plug screw or a receiver bolt.

Now, unscrew the R/T valve from the flow connector.

You now need to disassemble your A5 completely. Since you are able to install an R/T, I will assume you are comfortable doing this, if not, you can refer to Jaron's Disassembly Guide.

Disassemble and then reassemble as per normal, but leave out the flow connector and the 90-degree fitting when putting it back together. Replace the R/T flow bolt with a normal receiver bolt, and replace the connector nut with a regular receiver nut. Reassemble completely.

Since you are upgrading to the e-grip, it is strictly speaking not necessary to remove the piston. However, if you wish to sell the kit, remove the piston by unscrewing all the trigger group screws (remember the ASA bolt at the bottom of the grip), separate the halves, remove the piston, and put the whole thing back together.
