| Re: Hey Simbrian. Look HERE! (aswell as everyone else) Bloodwood is very tough. There's only 5 other species of woods harder than bloodwood on the Janka Hardness Scale. Besides paintball, woodworking is my second hobby. Like any wood, though, exposure to moisture like your sweat or rain will cause the trigger to swell and degrade. This would be bad given all the work you've put in to it. I would hand sand it with 100 or 120 grit sandpaper and apply some poly to it (at least 2 coats with a mild abrasion between applications). This will bring out the color in the wood and make it basically indestructable. It'll be beautiful and highly functional. Good work BTW! |

| Re: Hey Simbrian. Look HERE! (aswell as everyone else) forget the marker I think you should do a wood paneled case for it. you could use some wormwood or a nice mahogany and inlay it with felt. I have Rosewood grips on my Springfield 1911 and they look great. I can post a pic if anyone wants to see

| Re: Hey Simbrian. Look HERE! (aswell as everyone else) for going outside the box.The wood barrel sleve would (not going out on that joke) be a great one, nice and grainy with the brass shining ever so nicely, like the grail from Last Crusade.
