Re: Trigger Options

NO NO NO!! get the e-grip first and then get the JCS double blade trigger. Its a little hard to install and adjust but it is the most adjustable trigger for the e-grip on the market. I can walk this trigger as fast as my egrip will let me, which is as fast as the full auto goes. I thought about getting a WAS board becuz my egrip is kinda old, but that means getting a QEV mod. This trigger has an unbeleivably light pull, like a hair trigger for paintball, and it is made out of aluminum so it is TOUGH. Please don't go for a crappy double trigger buy one where you can use your egrip to the best of its ability this trigger is only 30 bucks and i love it. The tippman double triggers do nothing except let you fire a little faster because your middle finger is proven to fire faster than your index finger. Get the egrip, then the JCS. The Jcs trigger wont work for response or anything else i think.

I am indeed considering going with the e-grip first. It all depends on how finances go. And it looks like I don’t want to mess with the response trigger at all.

As for the Tippman double trigger doing nothing but let you fire a little faster because your middle finger is faster… well, then it DOES do something. Seriously, if it helps folks shoot faster, for whatever reason, it does what it is intended to do. I wanted to explore the options and have folks weigh in on them from personal experience.

Again, I thank everyone for their input. Keep the comments coming, I am sure I am not the only one reading all this that is getting information they need.

Re: Trigger Options

If you do go with the e-grip
1. buy a new one with the W.A.S. board installed.
2. Make sure to buy a good compatible double trigger (JCS)
3. Buy alot of 9v batteries.

Don't do like I did! My first e-grip I bought a psyco ballistics double trigger and it wouldn't work with the e-grip.

Re: Trigger Options

I called tippmann and ordered the egrip frame left and right halves seperately. Tippmann will sell them to you, you just have to call. I also ordered the armature pin and egrip sear. I then ordered the WAS board with selenoid and put the whole thing together. It cost me about $120.

The APE board wasn't out yet and if I was going to buy again I'd do the same thing only buy the APE board instead.

Re: Trigger Options

As for you shartley i dont want to get into a grammar fight or whatever but i said it doesnt do anything BUT let you shoot a little faster, the JCS trigger does a lot more and looks great. It is about the same price too, I got a double trigger for my 98c a little while ago and it was 30 bucks, just like the JCS

Yea i got my egrip without the WAS board i have heard of people contacting tippman to get thier board replaced with the WAS board, but none have succeeded. Is there a place where one can buy the WAS board separate from the rest of the egrip. I dont really need it anyway because that just means spending more money but it sounds cool.

Wicked high price for a trigger, but they are oh soooonnnniiiiiiccccceeeee. Still, I wouldn't spend the cash on it.

Meh, I got the ape board and am happy with it. and the stock tippmann double trigger. Both are more than fine. I dont see the need to buy another $30 - $80 trigger. Its is really easy to add stops to the tippmann trigger - and for a lot less $$$

Re: Trigger Options

Here's my experience.. ..

When I first got my a-5, it worked great, after I opened up the egrip, I discoverd how easy it was to dicconnect some of the wires.. .. so I sent it off to the nice folks at Tippmann Sports, and did they did a good job on the full warranty repair. .. ( All that for trying to change the 9V )

But whilst my egrip was away, I still had to play. .. So I got the Rampage board.. .

Now I have both and to tell the truth.. . I prefer the latter.. .most of the time I have to use semi-auto when I play.. . so to switch to full auto with no limits is fun : )
