Don't Know Response trigger to e-grip

I have a response trigger and i was wondering if i could just slap and e-grip on. I know this guy who is selling brand new e-grips for $50. Do i have to tune something or remove/tamper with something to make the new grip fit since i have had a response trigger? it seems like if i just changed out grips, air would still be trying to get to the trigger.

Re: Response trigger to e-grip

You need to disable the R/T before swapping it out to the Egrip. For help, see my video on disabling the RT:

YouTube - Disabling the Tippmann Response Trigger

After that, it's a simple matter of removing the entire grip, then swapping it with the egrip.

Re: Response trigger to e-grip

I have a newer model with two holes were the response trigger has nothing to do with the cyclone. How do i plug the holes? Will air spew out if i don't?

Re: Response trigger to e-grip

Yes, air will come out. You will need the little plugs for the holes. Tippmann sells them. You will need to plug one of the holes that goes to the RT. You will also have to notch the new grip to fit the flow connector if not completely removing the RT.

Re: Response trigger to e-grip

If you cannot acquire the little plastic plug for the receiver, an ordinary metal receiver bolt will function in its place. It will also hold better.
