You should be. Battles are usually won with advanced technology in capable hands. Not saying you're not a good shot, but if you meet your equal and he has more firepower you'll probably get wasted.

Re: Trigger Poll

i have done pretty well against people with high end, fast firing markers. (using rentals) maybe it was their lack of skill, expectations. i have been able to take out people who have been playing for a while. even in close combat. also, the field i like to play at does not allow ramping and must be left at single fire. paintball zone in waterford, california. im not huge on spraying paint. i tried it a couple times but felt like a waste to me (personal opinion). i find that i usually have about 1/4 of a hopper or more left after the game is over.

Theres no waste of air with the r/t. Tested it myself last weekend. no fps gains when i took my r/t off completely compared to with the r/t on. Mind you the rest of my marker is non-stock, so perhaps with a stock valve and spring setup the results would be a bit different, but i think at most you'd only see a +-15fps difference, which doesn't amount to much air at all, you'd loose maybe 70 shots off an HPA setup, and it'd hardly be noticeable with a co2 setup due to air allotment variances that go with co2.

Thanks for the observation! The R/T like the Cyclone is powered by back pressure caused by the FVA. This back pressure is essentially waste air...you have it whether you run an R/T (and/or Cyclone) or not. It's an efficient move to use this waste to perform extra work.

It always did occur to me that having an R/T actually made the Cyclone a little less efficient since you are diverting some air away from the Cyclone. This arguement tho is really just academic. It appears that the point where the Cyclone can't turn fast enough because it's being starved of air is beyond the BPS that the R/T can deliver. The system works.
