APE magnetic return double trigger??

i was searching on APE's site, and i ran across the magnetic return double trigger set up that they have got. that seems to be the way to go over top of JCS from what i have read about the products. but the real question is, has anybody used it, or more importantly, used them both and can compare them. this trigger set up is really making me excited, cuz the only thing i wish that the A5s had that the space guns do have is a hair trigger. and if this trigger system is as good as it sounds, it should be better than any space gun that ive shot. any info would help, thanks.

Re: APE magnetic return double trigger??

yeah, i have the egrip. and i think 70 bucks is worth it if its good like they say it is. see, i play woodsball, and thats what i claim as my paintball type, BUT ive got a friend that asked me to play in a speedball tourny once, and we won, so we played in the next one, and we won again. so im looking to upgrade my gun for speedball, but will still work very well in woodsball.

you should see the look on these guys faces when i show up with my A5 and apex. they laugh their butts off. their all shooting auto cockers and ions and b2ks and what not. but then my team wins, with two basicly stock A5s and a B2K, they done seem to laugh so much. oh, and then they were making fun of my apex, but then they were crying about it, because the NPPL rules say nothing about the apex, as long as its a stock and readily available barrel, it is legal. i got 3 kills with it from over the top of the back bunkers, and then ive pushed numberous people around the other edge of their bunker to get hit by that sides guy. cuz i couldnt quite hit them, but they were comin in so they slid over too far and they were done. so much fun. lol

Re: APE magnetic return double trigger??

I'm guessing you want to walk your a5 for speedball? on our team we have a a5 with a jcs blade, and it works very well.

Re: APE magnetic return double trigger??

Not heard much about APE but from "The Ultimate Trigger Thread", magnetic triggers don't seem to work so well, but who knows? Would they sell a faulty product? I don't think so. However, the price is really steep and I think the only difference between the APE and JCS trigger is the look, and spring return. Is it worth the extra $40 for APE. That's up to you but I've been really happy with my JCS trigger.

i think the APE trigger is for real. the Ultimate trigger thread one is more of a ghetto modification

70 is steep, espically compared to 30 for the JCS trigger that is very walk-able. but i have heard its very nice and light

Re: APE magnetic return double trigger??

yeah, and thats what im looking for, nice, fast, light trigger. i mean, almost beable to make it fire by sneezing on it light. im not afriad to spend 70 on a trigger if its as good as they say it is. the first a5 i used in the tourney had a double trigger, dont know if it was JCS or not, but it worked good. i could get it flying, pretty heavy pull though, granted you could change that with a spring. and the guy that put it in said it was a pain in the butt, he had to mod it just to make it fit. question though, is the JCS as adjustable as the APE, cuz the APE has three screws in it to get it completely dialed in.

Re: APE magnetic return double trigger??

Well... The JCS trigger has two points to adjust but it works. It will take a while to set up (around half an hour) but once you get it it's nice!!! You can easily get your trigger pull down to 1mm or 2mm. Personally, I think the JCS trigger spring is a little too light. I put my origional e-grip spring in it 'cause the trigger wasn't resetting fast enough for me.

Try to find someone with both triggers and see which one you like better. Personally, I don't see how APE could be so much better than JCS (enough to justify a $40 diff). The JCS is very walkable. Just remember to try before you buy.
