Re: Response Trigger allowed?

And, it is not at all similar to bounce like some people seem to think.

No. A reactive trigger is NOT bounce. But neither is an e-grip “full auto”.

But when folks shoot their reactive triggers in what sounds like full auto you can bet that what is happening IS bounce. The same as when you hear a uniform fast shooting from an e-grip there is good chances that it is set to some firing mode other than true semi.

So no, a reactive trigger is not at all similar to bounce… bounce is done USING a reactive trigger. The problem I have is when folks act as if they are not related issues and that even in bounce/sweet spot it should be treated differently than an e-grip in full auto. The end result is the same no matter the semantics used to attempt to prove otherwise.

It is also why some tournaments simply refuse to argue the points and allow both Rt and e-grips, but don’t allow full auto OR bounce. Problem solved! The end result is eliminated no matter how it was achieved.

linglestown paintball, and wanna play paintball's woodball fields are Semi auto only. Some exceptions can be made but as a rule, both fields are semi only.

Re: Response Trigger allowed?

I play at p&l paintball and they allow fullauto and R/Ts as long as every one agrees. I have not seen any problems at the field so far.

Re: Response Trigger allowed?

I have only had one real rt run in at a feild and there rule was that you have to be able fire a single shot with the RT turned on or it is adjusted to sensitive. No ROF for RT as long as you can get a single shot at a time, but there overshoot rule says if you are using an RT or E-grip marker and somone complains of overshoot (three balls or more) then there is no benefit of doubt for you just walk off the feild and play next game, they don't want people mad at being overshot, because they say they don't come back to their feild if they are mad. I think this is a fair policy for Scenario and recball Because if you want to speedball they have other events to satisfy you LOL.

Robert.
P.S. It seems to me that the ones shooting the highest rates of fire are quite often the one who complain of overshoot the most. For god's sake aim and save some paint LOL

Re: Response Trigger allowed?

my field used to complain when i used my responce trigger but allow ions, protos, cockers, egos... etc. on!!! I found out in the end it was all becouse my a5 was louder and more intimidating than tourney markers, so normal customers (jo public/hire guns mixed in) would assume it was more powerfull than the rest of them? WTF... Had a word with the manager and explained that the rof was actually slower. No more problems, even with the egrip now fitted

Re: Response Trigger allowed?

R/T, Full-Auto, 3 Round Burst all allowed at my field, but not for night games (semi-auto) only.

Re: Response Trigger allowed?

My fields rule of thumb is that if you can shoot it faster then 13 bps and you are ramping, then its not allowed.
