E-grip or Techt Fang?

After playing sunday i came to the conclusion that i need a tad more speed, and my stock cyclone internals are starting to wear out, so i'll be investing in the whole Techt cyclone kit (Vortex mod, lightning rod, QEPH, and squishy paddles) But i was wondering how well the QEPH will work with the R/T? I have some trouble finding the "sweet spot"..(on the A-5 you sicko's ) Which brings up the question in the topic.

Will the Fang trigger work well or should i spend the x-tra bucks and grab a e-trigger?

Re: E-grip or Techt Fang?

not sure if any upgrade could help you find the sweetspot. just keep at it! now if you want to bump the bps.... tune the RT and get the marker as efficient as possible. i don't think the fang will help much, even though it is sweet. unless you just really want an etrigger, work with you RT. but the fang and etrigger is a nice combo.

Re: E-grip or Techt Fang?

I think the fang would help.. It has set screws that you could use as a trigger stop... If configured right, you could set the trigger stop to the "sweet spot" location, and have a full auto set up, with no "sweet spot searching" I think n e ways.. I deff want a fang to add to my r/t.... besides the straight lines just add to the straight clean lines/look of an a-5

Re: E-grip or Techt Fang?

there is a thread around here about a super RT trigger, i havent used a Rt setup since my old 98 days , i run a e-grip now, which i like cause there is a turbo setting on it, and you can change the rate of fire of the turbo mode, the turbo mode is basically like a electronic RT, id say if you go with the e-grip buy the new HE e-grip so you can change fire modes on the fly

Re: E-grip or Techt Fang?

QEPH will work with an RT.

Are you using CO2 or HPA? One thing that will help, is to properly tune the RT. You do not want to go with the 1/8" lines if using CO2. I had problems with my Super RT when using CO2. If you want a little more speed then the Egrip is the way to go. It offers a lighter trigger and more modes of fire. Do you want to go electro or stay mechanical?

Agree totally....I have the fang trigger on my A-5 R/T and the 2 set screws allow you to dial the "sweet spot" in perfectly. If you will go to the TecT website, then you can see a video of the installation and tuning of the fang trigger. I am pretty sure that will help you decide if you want the fang trigger or not, that is if you want to keep the R/T.

Re: E-grip or Techt Fang?

I've actually heard the TechT Fang's work really nice with an R/T. I have one on an egrip and it is so smooth compared to the stock plastic ones. I would reccommend it. I don't know if it will help you find the sweet spot in the gun. That will just take some time and patience. A good tip is to slow the cycling down until you feel it. Then increase it slowly. May help!
