Re: How-To: E-Grip button

I deeeeed it.
Excellent mod. The rivet is a perfect fit.
Thanks for the great idea!

Edit:
I kept the nail in, I just clipped it and filed it down so it was flat, and did the same on the other end. I also kept mine a little longer (it hardly gets in the way if you're using two hands on the gun).

Re: How-To: E-Grip button

i did this a while ago and i found that i accidentally hit the button a few times and switched polarity on my board, too much of a hassle just to be able to switch modes 1 sec faster

Re: How-To: E-Grip button

One thing I recommend is to flair the rivet collar first. As you can see in Grip's third pic, there's a fair amount of clearance between the rivet and the grip frame. If you put the rivet in a pop-rivet tool ( no, I don't know the actual name right now, ) and gently squeeze, the shaft will be pulled into the collar and it will flair out a bit. If you do this right the extra space will be taken up and the button will fit snug without that annoying rattle, ( you can file it down a bit if you get it too big. ) When done this way, just cut the shaft off inside rather than removing it.

Re: How-To: E-Grip button

Oh, and here's a little something from the manual:

Quote:
Because the Equalizer board requires a tool to turn it on and off, no tournament lock is necessary for competition paintball.

So much for that . . .

Re: How-To: E-Grip button

Cool mod. I was planning to not use a e-grip any more due to the button issue. Looks like I am using it again.
