What's the EGrip of choice?

Wanting to switch from RT to an egrip... but I've seen several different versions being used... Tried searching the forums...

Stock Egrip
H.E. Grip
WAS
APE

The WAS and APE are just upgrades for the stock egrip, yea?
And, which one is the most popular?

Thanks!

The current stock egrip is the WAS board.

I still think the ape is the way to go for ease of use and reliability.

Re: What's the EGrip of choice?

Is there a complete kit for the APE grip somewhere? so I don't have to buy an Egrip, then the APE board?

The sexiest ones can be found from rhythm innovations. they come with the magnetic trigger and are very nice, but they cost a bit more than just the regular setup.

Re: What's the EGrip of choice?

I think you can buy the new H.E. E grip from Eric Engler with the APE board installed already. Pricey though.

Re: What's the EGrip of choice?

HE/APE is definitely the best choice (but the most expensive).

Re: What's the EGrip of choice?

There are various places selling both the old and new egrip with the APE board already installed. But sadly in most cases you really aren't saving much. In fact in the case of the new egrip, you're better off buying the grip and the board separately from rockstar tactical (with the 10% off code around here). It will be cheaper than any of the places selling them together.

Re: What's the EGrip of choice?

I don't really care for the look of the HE Egrip. I like the APE board. I have them in all my Tippmanns. The A5 RI pro trigger with the APE board is awesome. Take a little to set them up but once done it really rocks. The RI trigger is likely the closest that you will get to a walkable trigger for an A5.

Re: What's the EGrip of choice?

WAS has a 3 pull safty. Meaning you have to shoot 3 single rounds before you can do full auto, 3 round burst, etc. The APE board doesnt have that just pull the trigger for full auto, 3 round burst, etc. Also I beleive the APE board if it goes to sleep all you have to do is pull the trigger to wake it up where as the WAS you have to turn on by poking the button with a stick. But I may be wrong.
