Mechanical or E-Grip, what's yours?

I personally have an RT'ed A5, and I love it.

I love that I don't have to use batteries (or worry about getting my marker wet!), I love the physical kick you get from firing full auto, I love how you can simply turn a screw to fine-tune your bursts and ROF in full auto, I love the simplicity! I'm not one for using full-auto often, but I 2-3 ball burst a lot and I take comfort in the fact that I can always "rock and roll" if I feel like it.

I just plain love mechanical setups.

What about you? What do you use, and why? Discuss...

So out of the (only?) three types of triggers, you listed two, your favorite apparently not among them.
Unless you're considering the RT to be mechanical, in which case it also has my vote.

I did not realize that air-assisted was considered separate from mechanical... do you think it warrants its own option?

Re: Mechanical or E-Grip, what's yours?

Personally I would.
In my opinion, you're 2/3 of the way from covering all the bases. I know some people that prefer their stock mechanical trigger over anything else they've ever tried, and I think you'll find a few of those on here as well.
I tend to distinguish between the two of them.

I haven't the slightest how to edit a poll, so please excuse the inaccuracy of the poll, gents!

Re: Mechanical or E-Grip, what's yours?

i have an egrip. but as time has gone on i find myself only using semi auto mode with a tac-cap. i like the challenge of it. the newest marker i got is mech and the next one is gonna be an old school cocker or mag. so i have to say even tho i have an Egrip my heart is mechanical

Re: Mechanical or E-Grip, what's yours?

I use semi only mech trigger.
I simply do not see the need for hi rates if fire.
I consider shooting even as fast as I can pull the trigger a waste of paint/air.
I try hard to take minimal shots and make them count.
You can keep heads down with 1-2bps just as easily as 10-15bps in most cases, at least how we play.
This is just how I feel, to each his own...

I'm going to just echo this as it pretty much says exactly how I play with my A5. I've had multiple occasions where guys with electros (space guns) would run by me and I'd hit them 5 times in the 2 seconds I saw them run. After the game, they'd come up and ask me if my gun was on full auto. Every time I have to explain to them that I don't even have the option of full auto, it was all me lighting them up.
