Re: Cheaters

Agreed, lighting someone up can lead to other problems. It is best to try all other measures before even thinking of doing that.

But I have to point out that marking the player AGAIN is not an option in this situation (as posted). The reason is that YOU have already been marked out as well and are exiting the game. By simply remarking the player you are breaking the rules as well.

Remarking a player should only be done if you are still in play. And then I say… mark as many times as needed for them to leave the game. This does NOT mean overshooting though. Each time you mark them it should be within the field’s rules. Only if they continue to fire at you (or other players) should you continue to put balls on target continually IMHO (but there are limits to that as well). And that does not mean as fast as you can either. You don’t need to shoot someone 15+bps for them to get the point.

There can be a fine line between playing and assault, and sometimes not so fine line.

I will also clarify my post above, when I said state loudly that he was out, I do not mean yell AT him necessarily. It is so all other players in the area know what happened… as well as any Refs that are in ear shot. But you have to say it loud or players/staff will not hear you. Avoid direct confrontation if you can but get the message out.
