Re: Military Service

most people on here kno that i want to go into the navy. its been a goal of mine for 4 years now, so i kno its what i want to do. i want to go into the seal teams as an officer.

i am currently signing up with the navy sea cadets. in summer 07 ill be going to NYC for bootcamp. after that, i can train with so many aspects of the navy, marine corps, or coast guard, anytime during the summer, for 10 days. http://www.seacadets.org/public/programs/nscc/ <<list of all programs you can take. my friend signed up with me, and, i want to be a seal, while he wants to go into machinery, which he can go train with seabees, and ill go train with seals. you can do as much as u want until the end of summer, i plan on gettin my scuba degree at the seal training. ill probably do submarine training, mine warfare, EOD, and some officer classes as well. once u return home, u can spend a week or a weekend with your family before heading out to whatever class you want to take next. then until the next summer u go to ur stationed place for one weekend a month.

key aspects that are very nice about the program: it allows for many opportunities for kids. if u wanna quit, go ahead, u r not obligated to anything. for a program with so many benefits, it is very cheap. i think it varies from one area to another but it is very inexpensive. when u get out, and u decide u do want to joined the navy, marine corps, or coast guard (once again u dont have to join them, the forces listed simply sponser this program) u start out with a higher pay roll due to the time put in.

now this may seem like nothing to anyone older than eighteen, but i encourage anyone with kids or anyone they no, to look into this program. i personally can wait for summer.

as for the next steps toward becoming a seal officer, ive already looked into colleges and ive picked one that i like that has the nrotc program, but i wont bore u with that
