#6. Always have barrel covers on (or plugs in) and safety on when not playing.
I have played at a lot of outlaw fields (privately owned property-friend's group of players) and seen some cavalier attitudes toward safety. I keep the barrel condom on until we radio the other team and everyone is ready AND we say game-on. As soon as I'm out, cover and safety go back on. Another safety issue is face masks.
#7. Face masks stay on.
At one field I play at, there's a long walk out to the playing field from the safe/staging area. In between games if you want to take off your mask; everyone (both teams) gathers together and puts their guns down on the ground at their feet. Then we take off our masks.
