Repping the A5OG

Some of you wonder exactly what the OSF is really all about.

The OSF repeatedly hits the field, and scenario games with one thought in mind.... reppin what we feel to be not only the best forums for A-5, X7, and 98 information on the net, but great forums for those who don't even own a Tippmann. We suit up, and walk out with our OSF patches blazing for all the world to see.

Here's the result of our dedication and how we Rep the A5OG..... OSF style.

Quote:
Answering the Call (full story w/ pics at this link)

What started off as a simple game for the Southeast ended up becoming much more. Before I get into the long winded story I would like to thank all of the SE OSF who showed up, and the following:

Ferg with Command Decisions Paintball
Paul with Knights Crossing Paintball
Doug with Archon Paintball

Me and Scott (jhall9701) talked on Friday and Saturday about possibly donating a few items for the prize giveaway as a way of promoting the OSF. We decided to talk to the Field owner/scenario promoter (Ferg with Command Decisions Paintball), and see what type of small items we could possibly include to help round out an already excellent prize giveaway. He proceeded to tell us that he had everything covered, and that he even had something set aside for us to giveaway as well?? Not knowing exactly what he meant, we again approached him the next day in regards to this. As it turned out he had a brand spanking new A-5 for us.

With an excellent foundation established by the generousity of Ferg and CD paintball, Scott and I decided to add some spice to this new A-5. So our next step was a stop by the tent that Knights Crossing Paintball had setup and see what type of accessories we could toss in. Paul (Owner/Operator) of Knights Crossing is a great guy who Scott and I had been helping off and on during the event. We both had volunteered to do Marker and Equipment tech for free so he could handle his regular sales. In exchange Uncle Pauly (inside joke here) and Christine gave us plenty of coffee and food if we needed it.

So we go up to Paul, and tell him that we are interested in buying a few accessories for the A-5 that we are giving away at the end of the game. So Paul decides that we need to go talk to Doug from Archon Paintball (Doug is one of the leading guys from Archon who deals with the Tacamo product line), and that he will help us out with this. Doug ofcourse is more than happy to assist us, and pulls out a brand new 1 of 5 prototype shroud that they will be producing soon. So after Doug and Paul talk, we settle on the shroud and stock at a very reduced price. So we head back to the Knights Crossing tent when Paul decides that we need more for that A-5 and proceeds to load us up with a Tacamo steel mag and mag well, Ricochet (smoke) hopper, and Proteam Tactical hopper for free.

Scott and I start the assembly process of all the cool add-on's when we realize that it still needs a sight rail and that Tacamo makes one that would be perfect on it.... so we head back to Doug. Doug gives a chuckle and agrees with us, and then proceeds to give us the rail for free. It's during this time that I tell Doug who we are (OSF & the OG forums), and he replies with "why didn't you guys say so". Apparently Doug is quite a frequent member on the A5OG.

So with the new sight rail added on we ended up with the following specs:

New Tippmann A-5 (newer version with a second hole for the RT)
Tacamo HK 416 shroud w/ barrel
Tacamo 20rd steel Mag and Mag well
Tacamo M4 Stock (newer version that has the aluminum tube)
Tacamo Sight Rail
Tacamo Hopper Extension (raises the hopper about 2-3 inches so you can use sights etc..)
Richochet Smoke Hopper
Proteam Tac Cap

In addition to this the lucky individual would be receiving an A-5 Operator patch, a Tacamo T-shirt, and a Tacamo Barrel cover (this is in addition to the regular stock A-5 items).

The SE OSF has one last event planned for 2007. We will once again be suiting up, and hitting the field in Dec for the game at Blanding. We have something cool planned for this event also...... X7OG watch out cause we're Reppin you next!!

Re: Repping the A5OG

Nice going OSF! Keep up the good work. It is good to see the playing with honor and integrity are duly rewarded. It is nice to see other vendors and players wanting to join something worthwhile.

Sounds awesome!
How about next year you throw us Canadians a bone and come rep the OG up here!
It will give me something to think about while I try not to fall asleep in the snow this winter.

Re: Repping the A5OG

Whatever works. Both my patch and Scotts was literally hanging on by a few threads.

Re: Repping the A5OG

With a little luck, Jeff and Scott may have gotten the OG's and OSF in a magazine as well. We'll have to keep watch in APG and PB2X to see. Folleybear was on scene snapping shots and chatting with players.

Also guys, Keep a check in the gallery on PBJunkie.com for pics of this event. We had two OSF playing and two OSF reffing, as well as a few OG members running about having one heck of a great time.

We've got one of the best communities for paintball on the web. And its only looking better and better.
