| Spell checking tool for your browser. After several requests and some research into a spell checker for the forum I have discovered several tools that run client side in your browser that seem to work well. For Firefox users with version 1.0 there is a great client side utility called Spellbound, download it here: http://spellbound.sourceforge.net For Firefox users the new version 2.0 has support built right into the new version. Mis-spelled words will be underlined in red, just right mouse click and correct the spelling. ![]() For Internet Explorer users there is ieSpell a very good client side utility, download it here: http://www.iespell.com When vbulletin detects the iespell client the spell check button becomes active like the example below. ![]() Last edited by BeerandFuel : 03-16-2007 at 06:35 PM. |

| Re: Spell checking tool for your browser. Correct me if I'm wrong, but IESpell is also the spell check embedded in the forum, right?

| Re: Spell checking tool for your browser. While a spellchecker is nice, it won't stop the their/they're/there, two/too/to, you're/your, we're/were/where, and other mistakes that drive me insane . It is a great idea though. Hopefully people will use it. |

| Re: Spell checking tool for your browser. And I always keep my e-mail client open (Outlook) and a blank e-mail on hand. I type what I want, and then cut/paste into the forum! It takes virtually NO time and is super easy. And the more you do it, the better your spelling gets anyways.

| Re: Spell checking tool for your browser. If I have a long post to write, I'll open up MS Word and type my post on there, then I cut and paste the information into the forum's box. Good job B&F at listening and acting on the members concerns... Thanks |

| Re: Spell checking tool for your browser. I use a the firefox spell checker. My spelling usually isn't to bad but it does help tremendously from time to time. It even catches if you forget to capitalize stuff. |

| Re: Spell checking tool for your browser. I don't no what the big deal is. So what if their are sum people who can't tell the difference between certain words? Just kidding. I no what you guys mean, it drives me crazy two. ![]() What about those posts that are just a bunch of sentence fragments throw together into one long, on-going paragraph?

| Re: Spell checking tool for your browser. ^^^ Those types of posts seldom have capital letters at the start of a sentance. Commas are used to break up the post where periods should be. I know that some members have said...I just type the way I talk. Well, I don't know if I'd be a party to a conversation like that.
