Thumbs up How to get better air-flow from you remote

The thing about a remote with slide check is that the air has to go through tiny holes to get to the marker. What ive done to increase air flow is to drill out these holes a bit, but NOT TOO MUCH! If you make to big holes, the slide check wont cover the holes, and will stop working. First you take the slide check apart, screw it apart and take out that little steel wire ring that holds the slide check. Then you take your dremel etc, and drill out the holes. After finished make sure to get all the metalparts out, and use a sand paper to even the edges. Grease up, apply some thread tape and screw back on, and you're ready to go!

Check the picture for size difference. Note that there are holes on both sides... Before to the right, after on the left...

And of cource i drilled all the 4 holes... theres two on each side... Pic is just for demonstrating the difference...

make sure you get around the hole smooth as can be otherwise you'll get going through a lot of o-rings.

Re: How to get better air-flow from you remote

Good to hear. Test it on the marker and see how many shots you get off before it starves. If you still have issues, you could just drop the slidecheck and replace all hiose and fittings with higher flowing equipment.

It wont give me more shots, but might let me fire faster... I really like the slide check, so if it still starves id have to use slower BPS

Re: How to get better air-flow from you remote

I have that same remote w/ slide check. It always bothered me that those holes were so small. Does anyone else know if other slide checks are like that, and if so, what is the reasoning?

Re: How to get better air-flow from you remote

Instead of 4 holes, maybe you can do 8. Add an additional 4 holes will definitely improve flow.
