OK well I have found some silicone tubing, from a local pound shop, and have cut a 6.5" length and tie rapped one end and used a bike pump to inflate it and it seems to work great, Now I need to find some PVC pipe around 2" - 2.5" and some end caps.

I have an idea to put a plug in the end of the tube to direct the spray up and to the sides but not down the way as this would be a waste of fill....

I am wanting to make it a trip mine, (like the one here http://www.paintballzone.com/review_paintballmine.htm), My idea is to have a small pin that sits tightly over the silicone tube on the top of the mine that has been tied to the trip wire.... ( I think this would work ) but i can't figure out how to make the safety pin work on this one

Somehow forum members working on homemade paintball mines makes me feel uneasy....

Nah, don't feel uneasy... he is only working on low pressure bladder type mines... If he was working on 12 gram CO2 powered mines, I would aggree with you...lol

This type of mine is just a copy of the KVA playmore mine. Very simple. The tube is filled with a syringe of paint. The tube is held down by a cotter pin. Once it is pulled, the paint is released. KVA had a better design. It also used a clip to hold down the tube. When I get back from Cali in Aug, I will post pics of the design. This is very simple to make. in all honesty the KVA design was a lot better for paint pattern.

spec ops sells mines made by MAJOR PAINTBALL for 35-39 bucks they are a pretty good deal and what I have seen and had people tell me about them they are pretty effective if you go to the MAJOR PAINTBALL website you can download videos of the mines going off.

No, there isn't anything inside holding the tube within the mine's body because the clamp on top holds it in place...

When I was making my 12 gram co2 mine and went to get supplies, the home depot people asked if they could help us with anything. We said, "no, just looking for now." Its taboo these days to say anything related to the word mine or bomb.
