foobar42's M4

Hey guys, here is yet another M4. This is my first paintball gun that I bought a little over a year ago, and I've been updating it with various upgrades.

My parts list:
Rhythm Innovation e-grip (APE Rampage board, magnetic double trigger)
J&J 14" ceramic barrel
TechT cyclone upgrades: squishy paddles, Vortex mod, lightening rod
X7 QEPH
1/8" banjo fittings
Metadyne M16 mag
Metadyne 6.5" RIS handguard
Tactical grip with battery compartment
Opsgear M4 front sight post
Tapco 6 position CAR stock
X7 hopper
Special Ops hopper skin in Omnipat (matches my ultralites camo and broadsword vest)
Tacamo M16 carry handle

The M16 mag is awesome, but it is not compatible with double trigger guards out of the box (it was designed to fit single trigger guards). So I had to file about 2 mm of material from the mag so that it fits.

The magazine has a storage compartment. I am currently trying to think of a way to fit a 9V battery in there so that I dont have to take the egrip completely apart to change the battery.

Howdy,

What brand of trigger is that and how do you like it? I tried installing one and it jacked my sear so I had to put in the original single trigger. I'm looking for a nice double trigger. Thanks

Dude that thing is $75. I don't understand some of the specs. Does magnetic return mean it "pushes" back? Is it easy to "walk" the trigger with two fingers?

Very nice setup although I am not a big fan of the double trigger look. But hey if it works for you thats all that matters.

Re: foobar42's M4

Thanks guys for the positive feedback. The trigger is by Rhythm Innovation, and it is pretty sweet. I bought the complete trigger assembly so the installation was painless. Check it out here - Product Listing -

I am not that good with walking the trigger, so I probably don't get the full benefit of it but it feels great to use it. Everyone that tried it loved it. It has magnets allowing you to adjust its "stickyness" and ease of return (I am sure someone else can describe this in more correct technical terms).

BTW, Rhythm Innovation makes a single version of this trigger. That's what I will get for my X7 when Rhythm Innovation releases complete trigger assembly with the APE board.

If you are looking for a double trigger, this is the one to get IMO. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for.

WTF Re: foobar42's M4

Hey foobar. I finally got the double trigger. Pain in the arse to adjust properly. I got it all hooked up and dialed in and my conclusion is that it blows goats. I think it is a great idea with the magnets and all. And you are right... it does feel sexy to the fingers, but I couldn't "walk" it for more than 5 seconds. Maybe I didn't adjust properly, or maybe I just suck, but for the price of the thing it should verbally fire in my opinion. I put my old single back on and am sending back.

Again, I appreciate your input on this.

Have a good one my fellow paintballer.

Hey man, sorry to hear it did not work out for you. Maybe you and I just suck at walking the trigger and need to practice it more!

Let us know what trigger you end up getting and how it works out for you.
