and kind a make it a complete one-stop-shopping experience. when i joined the forum, the dummies book is one of the 1st threads i read and still refer to it still. i figure combining these two items would help alot of folks out...just a thought

i second the bot, some folks are so anxious for answers when the first join, they forget to search and in that miss out on infinite amount of information, suggestions and opinions already posted here

Thanks for the appreciation of the guide, I'm glad it's been useful. Unfortunately I can't combine the whole guide into a single post. The forum software has a limit on both characters and pictures in a single post and I'm well beyond both. I've already had Todd increase some post limits on other guides I've written in the past ( my barrel FAQ is nearly 5400 words, 9 pages, and 30,000 characters, about that of a college term paper, ) but allowing nearly 20 pages of text and pictures in a single post for the maintenance guide is too much. Also having separate sections makes it much easier to manage and update with new stuff ( speaking of which I promised a while ago to add E-Grip and Jet Click sections. Guess I ought to get on that. )

As for the bot, well, there's no way to force people to read things. Whenever a new member signs up they get a PM and email suggesting threads to read, like the forum rules, marker FAQ's, etc, but most people just ignore them anyway.
