Please direct all requests for user name changes to this thread.

Keep in mind that if you request such and it's changed, you're stuck with it. In other words, we won't be repeatedly changing your user name simply because you are unhappy with it a few days/weeks later. If name change requests become excessive and/or abused, this thread will be closed and all requests will be denied.

-Please keep posts directly related to your name change request. When an ultimatum is given by a moderator, not much else aside from a thank you! needs to be said outside of PM's. If you have a problem with something, just PM a moderator and they'll be happy to help you out!

Just a few things you should know about name change;

-Make sure that your new name has not already been taken before attempting to request it. Research the members list!

-State a practical reason for wanting to have your name changed. Otherwise, it will be ignored/denied.

-Any requests for name changes that closely resemble any current forum member will be denied.

-We will not delete inactive user accounts for the sake of user name change. No exceptions. We are not starting a trend.

-No finger pointing to past posts. New guidelines for this thread are being enforced.

Please place your old user name in your user bar (the text below your name) and leave it there for at least a month or so... people need to know who you are!

Moderators reserve the right to refuse a name change for any reason that they deem necessary. This thread is here and is patrolled by the moderators for your convenience, as is the rest of this forum. Please make an attempt to pull your own weight in return by following these simple guidelines!

If you're interested, I know of a vBulletin modification that allows users to do this on their own with time period restrictions and all previous names listed in their profiles. It makes you're job a lot easier.
