Re: Rate of cyclone problems

I didn't vote, as has been said, mech parts WILL wear out and fail. I haven't had any issues that I can blame on the cyclone design or materials. That said, I am a great believer in preventative maintainence and pre-emptive strikes where there are known issues with components. I reckon it's a better use of time and money to upgrade parts BEFORE they break, save the time on identifying problems, downtime, and then spending the cash anyway. Somewhere down the line, if you then have a failure with the upgrade - eventually they will wear too - you have a working replacement ready to swap in at a pinch, and keep you playing for the rest of the day. The only problems I've had have been self induced - ie not winding in the RVA enough, or setting the e-grip too fast for the rest to keep up

Re: Rate of cyclone problems

I'v been having problems with my cyclone for a year, I'v replaced all the parts and done all the usual to fix it, and yes I have soft paddles, yes I checked the banjo fittings, tried different paint even tournament grade,
different springs, bolts ec. I'm really mad, and its not just me I'v ran into 15 or more people at my field who have the same problem. I really thinking about selling my A-5 but I,v put alot of money into it and
I would be losing out on alot , what do you suggest guys?

Re: Rate of cyclone problems

What parts/fixes have you done other than the soft paddles? What ROF are you trying to achieve?

Maybe put the stock system back together and get it working properly, and start from there...

Re: Rate of cyclone problems

Ok, so I'm thinking this thread is cursed - up UNTIL I posted in it, I'd had no cyclone problems, and now behold, problems have arrived!
I'll post them in a seperate thread though, don't worry

Re: Rate of cyclone problems

Other then the paddles everything is stock( I even tried 2 different pairs of stock paddels. I wan't to be able to put a G-grip 0n and get at least 15 bps, but as of now I can't shoot faster the about 2-4 bps or the ball will break in the barrel. I think many poeple are having this same problem. Its wierd how the ball breaks but theres no shell just goo in the barrel. I'm thinkin if its was chopping that there would be a chunk of shell in the cyclone and all over the bolt . I had that problem when my wratchet wore down but I'v got all new internals for the cyclone and they are all stock so there should be no problem. and yes its put to gether right. Did anyone notice that when you point your A-5 strait up the cyclone stops working? Well I'm going to try and run some evil paint through and if it still chopps I'm going to send it to tippmann.

Re: Rate of cyclone problems

I've had my A5 for over 3 years, put over 5000 paintballs through it, and I am still running stock internals.

My cyclone hasn't hiccuped yet...
No blender.
No broken ratchet.
No significant problems.

I routinely shoot 10bps, and I trust it every time.
