| Re: Vortex Mod advice/help Hi there, OK. The most popular and probably "best" grease is white lithium but...... TechT will sell you some of their "own brand" (check website) and if you use that you won't have any "warranty issues". I'm sure there will be plenty more advice from other members but this is my 02. Good luck! ![]()

| Re: Vortex Mod advice/help I've used both SP slik lube and Techt Lube. My one buddy uses truck axle grease.

| Re: Vortex Mod advice/help Does anything honestly happen if you don't have grease? I don't have any grease ATM and I'm wondering if I install it will it be fine and ready to shoot. I put some of the Tippmann Oil that comes with the gun on the Lightening Rod at the end and at the front where it swivels with the vortex mod. But other then that I didn't grease the vortex mod at all. Is that fine? |

| Re: Vortex Mod advice/help no oil is a simple lube that is fluid & runs... grease stays in place to prevent friction and wear & tear on those fancy mechanical moving parts. do what stroufdaddy says & get some grease before you totally destroy the parts you just bought.

| Re: Vortex Mod advice/help It is okay to lube the lightening rod end with oil. Only the seal end though. I used lube the one time, and caused issues. However, your vortex mod will quickly wear down without the lube. Get what ever kind of lube you can get your hands on. Any paintball shop will have it. Like I said before, my buddy uses rear axle grease. You want a thick lube that won't run like oil will.

Do you use the spray kind, or the kind that you put on your finger and rub it in? I'm guessing you would use the kind that you need to rub in, but just double checking. |
