| New Designz Tippmann Cyclone Ultimate Combo - Black at ActionVillage.com : Paintball I came upon this while browsing the ActionVillage website. Essentially, it looks to me that it is the exact same thing as TechT upgrades but a little cheaper. Anyone have any word on this product? I looked it up on here and couldn't find anything. I also looked it up on pbreview.com and found no reviews on it. |

| Re: Anyone know anything about this? They are designed with the same intentions as the TechT mods, but I've not yet heard a report on the quality or durability of these items. Initial reports of performance were favorable, however.

| Re: Anyone know anything about this? I have never read a review(either good or bad) on that product, and I've never run across anybody that has those upgrades. When I was looking around to get an upgrade for my Cyclone, I debated getting this, but after not finding any reviews and getting a great price on the RAP4 Upgrade kit, I went for the RAP4 kit instead.

I own and have tested all the available cyclone axle/ratchet combos. NDZ is the one I prefer. Have noted this product in several posts in the last 3 months. Try searching "F6 Tornado." My NDZ cyclone cycles 23 bps sustained rof without issues. Excellent quality, axle ramp contour provides a good balance between smooth easy rotation and resistance to over cycling. Screw in pins make assembly easy. NDZ makes high quality components. Hope this helps Regards, Scoreshot

Yup. They all can be setup to work very well. Some easier than others and most are excellent quality IMO. ![]() Post from July 9, 08 The NDZ axle teeth ramp contour (although similar but not identical to a few others) provides IMO the best combination of easy smooth ratchet interaction with good resistance to over rotation. There are several other things I like about the NDZ parts that they have in common with a few of the other brands. Not going to list them because as stated at the beginning I'm describing what I feel sets the NDZ components apart from the others, not what makes them the same. However, I will say this: in all fairness, most of the brands I have tested are of excellent quality. In fact, some have design characteristics I wish the NDZ parts had. But overall, I like the NDZ ratchet/axle combo the most. Remember guys, just my opinion based on my observations. I'm not downing anyones parts. Most all can be made to work really well. Enough for now..I really need some sleep. EDIT: 9:25am Also of note regarding the NDZ ratchet is the fact that the small internal ratchet spring does not require trimming as the spring socket pin location is designed to provide optimal spring tension against the axle when the stock spring is used. One other ratchet attempts the same thing but IMO the NDZ offers the best solution here. In fact, regardless of which ratchet/axle you are using I believe trimming the small internal ratchet spring to be a mistake as in some cases it can cause "ratchet float" similar to "valve float" on a high rpm internal combustion engine with valve springs that have fatigued or were too soft to begin with. You "gear heads" out there will know exactly what i mean. LOL

| Re: Anyone know anything about this? I have their ultimate kit. I LOVE it, I actually did a product review of it. New Designz is making awesome stuff! 23bps and not a chop to be seen. Not even barrel breaks, and I run with a flatline. My cyclone setup: 1. Newest version wargear paddles (green) 2: Smoke Cyclone Housing and bottom 3: New Designz QEPH 4: New Designs Hot Rod 5: New Designz F6 Tornado 6: White Lithium Grease for lube

Nice Raptor! Dido for me. Haven't seen the new Wargear paddles tho. A bit "cleaner" are they? Also using their(NDZ) powertube/bolt. Very nice!
