I never really made a post about this because, well, I figured it was just something i was going to have to deal with.

The Story:

I have a full Rap4 cyclone upgrade kit (with updated axle) and ever since day one I had an issue with it occaisionally overcycling and allow the paintball to come back out of the breach. This would only happen when I was on full auto with my Egrip or on response or turbo mode at sustained rof's. So after this weekend I finally decided to break down and figure out what was really going on.

I figured out that the force pushing the rod back to its resting position was too great and possibly over spinning the axle. So I took the rod spring and cut about a coil and a half off of it.

Then I took the wire axle spring, and bent it ever so slightly to increase the pressue on the axle. Then I loaded it up with grease (which by the way I use automotive axle bearing grease on my cyclone, a) because its super viscous and b) its safe for rubber and plastic seeing as the axle bearings have rubber boots and seals.)

And VOILA! It works 100% NO issues, even better than the stock one funtioned brand new. I dry fired about 500 rounds while watching the paddles spin, and then I loaded it up and fired off about 3 full hoppers on full auto and it didnt skip a beat.

I know this thread doesnt exactly offer any insightful information but it made me so happy I had to post!

Very nice. Did you reinstall the aftermarket Rod back into the cyclone or keep the stock rod in there?

Before you fixed it, what fire rate did you have? Have you been able to up the fire rate now? Where you getting breaks in the cyclone?
