| Re: Cyclone Troubles? A Possible Solution: I have found that lining up the hole with the screw slot definitely made a difference on all three of my cyclone systems. However it should be noted that you should tighten the center screw at least enough to provide a bit of "crush" to the bottom O ring. Other wise it is not providing any seal at all which is why it is there in the first place. The threads alone provide some seal but the o ring is there for a purpose. Blue Loctite is fine but if your into testing and modding you may find the Loctite route a bit of a hassle each time you need to remove the cyclone. ( Obviously you don't want to get any dried Loctite in the piston tube) I now use the Banjos from Palmer. He has all three sizes and you don't need to line anything up. Just a gentle "snug" of the center screw and your good to go. Happy Modding to all!

| Re: Cyclone Troubles? A Possible Solution: Oh Dear, I will get back to all of you poor misguided air-o-phytes soon! You need to get an understanding of airflow before making judgments on "banjo" positions etc. Unless you believe in ghosts, banjos work in any direction. Think about it.............air travels between two (or more) points...... so where is it going to? Nearest bar to the bottle! That extra "twist" of the banjo bolt is not going to make any difference to actual airflow.....................Air is pretty loose ****, if you get my drift.

| Re: Cyclone Troubles? A Possible Solution: I hit this post right on the $. This is what i was looking for. I have 2 o-rings on 1 screw that hooks up to the cyclone. The screw that goes into the gun has only 1 o-rings at the top. Thanks Last edited by BL1TZ : 05-26-2008 at 12:25 AM. |

| Re: Cyclone Troubles? A Possible Solution: Hey guys, having a bit of trouble with my cyclone.. heres the story. When i first bought my A5 i was having trouble chronoing it, the shots kept varying between 250 and 350 fps and it wouldnt settle down no matter wher the velocity screw was set, so i installed a red hot power tube which corrected that problem but after about 500 shots the cyclone gave up working it ratchts propery manualy but wont work at all on its own. All parts are fine with no wear as it only had about 800 balls thru it!.. any ideas?. the reason i havent sent the A5 back i because in live in the UK and i imported it from America cheers! |

Sounds like something is wrong with hose. Make sure all the o-rings are on the banjo fittings and that your hose isn't damaged. Check to make sure nothing is blocking air flow from the valve to the macro-line. I would say the ratchet but that wouldn't work with manual cycling.
