| Re: 3 guns 2 different problems no your in the right thread. what i was getting at is if you dumped the entire contents of the airchamber all at one time (higher velocity) it might be possible to freeze parts of the gun with a number of shots that arnt necissarily considered a high rate of fire thats all.

| Re: 3 guns 2 different problems In the etek, it sounds like you need a new macroline, a new macro fitting, or you just need to take off the macrofitting and use some plumbers tape. Here is how you diagnose. Air up your marker. Try to cover where the macro line and macro fitting meet. If it changes the sound and you can see pressure blowing out, then its either a nicked/cut macroline or the oring inside the macroline went bad. Replace macroline first or cut the tip of it(about 1/2" with a razor or box cutter to make a straight uniform cut). If it still leaks, repalce macrofitting. If air doesnt change sounds and you do not feel pressure on your fingers, move your fingers where the threads of the macrofittings are. If it leaks from there, then just add some plumbers tape by unscrewing and screwing abck into place. Remember to degas marker before you start to perform any work. If you are leaking out the barrel... -Make sure cupseal is in good condition, especially the side that comes into contact with the valve. -Make sure cupseal spring in in place -Make sure valve orings are fine -Make sure valve/valveseat is in good shape. Nicks to the seat can cause leaks (seat is the slightly raised edge where the plastic part of the cupseal contacts). -Make sure the solenoid gas lines are oriented correctly. The front banjo should be the constant output and the rear banjo should only be active when fired. A sympton of this would also be the bolt in forward position. Depending on how bad the gas leak is, will also help in diagnosis. make sure its coming out of the barrel and not the LPR.

Still you can only use more air on a 98 if you have a spring kit using a heavier compression spring or a RVA. The velocity screw will not change the amount of air release per shot.

It would restrict how much air could get through. Decreasing co2 expansion; therefore, increasing the amount of time needed to freeze over the gun. The changes would be minimal. Best thing to do is make sure the tank is in an upright postion when fired (ie, veritcal adapter or use a remote and put the tank on your back in a vertical fashion). Or get a PPS stabilizer (will help will not eliminate issue) or switch to HPA. You could also use an anti-siphon adapter. This should be done to the tank if you use it only "on the gun" and only for that gun. This would ahve to be professionally installed, and they will need your marker you perform this. if not, they are not doing it properly.
