UMS vs. Tippmann

Hey team. Wondering what the difference is between the UMS Flatline and the Tippmann made one for the A5. I know the UMS is based on the m98 barrel, but other than the obvious (length) are there any differences in them, like performance wise? Gracias

You hit it, the longer 98 flatline out performs the A5/X7 version. I've heard it is more accurate. UMS has sold/modded a lot of 98 to A5 conversions. Bad news is Tippmann has stopped selling 98 Flatlines.

Pumbaa, doesn't Tippmann now sell a different version of the FL for 98Cs? How is it performance-wise, if you've seen it?

it's shorter, like the a-5 x7... it's a "quick thread" design.. so i'm assuming that it's probably the same in terms of functionality.

I hear you have to aim just a tad high for the ball to shoot level for the UMS flatline, like in the apex.
