Re: What happens if you mount a flatline barrel to a straight barrel?

Whatever it is, try it with a reball first. It won't be as messy, and you can see what sort of trajectory it might give.

Re: What happens if you mount a flatline barrel to a straight barrel?

I don't understand why you would want to try that. Unless when your say straight barrel you mean tippmanns straight line rifled barrels. In that case the flatline would undo any spin the rifled barrel placed on the ball changing it to a back spin the ball cant spin in two different direction at the same time. Will it can but in 2 pieces. I like to see new ideas good thinking tho if thats what you meant.

Re: What happens if you mount a flatline barrel to a straight barrel?

Ya, It may work, but you're going to have to walk out your velocity adjust, because you're going to have to move that ball pretty hard to pull a chrono speed. Which means, it's going to be harder on paint, which means your marker is gonna be even pickier with paint than a standard flatline. Probably not a feasible idea. I think I'd just go with the flatline and leave it be.

Re: What happens if you mount a flatline barrel to a straight barrel?

I think hes looking for the best of both worlds. Trying to long ball with a straight shot. I think this is what everyone wants.

Re: What happens if you mount a flatline barrel to a straight barrel?

Straight barrel would probably have to be unported. I'm with everyone else though, Why would you want to do this?

What if you reversed the order?

Re: What happens if you mount a flatline barrel to a straight barrel?

I think the straight barrel would stop the back spin. Negating the effect of the flatline. Except maybe a stock A-5 barrel.
