Re: A Full Guide to the Flatline Barrel

Draxxus Blaze blass works fine. Just a side note for ya. Nice Guide, btw.

I have a question. How do I make my Flatline(on my A5) more stealthly? I've read about some placing cotton in between the flatline's shroud and barrel but I don't think that would take away much noise. Any ideas?

Re: A Full Guide to the Flatline Barrel

Yea, coincidentally i started a thread about a year ago on the same exact idea you had, that was to put cotton balls in the barrell. I learned that by putting cottonballs in the barrel of the flatline, no noise would be dampend unless you ported the 'actual' barrel inside the shroud. However, cotton balls WILL dampen the clinking sound the barrel makes when it hits the shroud. I found that there isnt really a good way of making the flatline stealthy. Thanks for the compliment, but my marker looks a little diffrent now. I like it alot

Re: A Full Guide to the Flatline Barrel

So I guess the flatline isn't much of a stealthly hero. Hahaha.

If I ported the barrel itself, would that effect the flatline's performance?

Re: A Full Guide to the Flatline Barrel

Yea, but the flatline makes up for it in its performance. I highly encourage you not to port it, as you would have to send it to a machine shop to get the ports right, and even then you would have to bring the flatline(which is not under waranty anymore) to tippman and ask them to re-sand blast it which would cost you some money.

Re: A Full Guide to the Flatline Barrel

i love the flatty it makes the best noise

but its freezing here at the moment in the uk and i have had many breaks

our last paint was better and we have some blaze coming that i am eager to try

how does an lpk affect things i have heard that it is easier on my balls

its an expensive ugly looking thing but i dont want to have to use another barrel in the winter i was thinking this might help?

Re: A Full Guide to the Flatline Barrel

All ive shot through my flatline is field paint and havent been too happy or too sad about the results. Distance is very noticeable and low that it goes straight and striaght. Occasionally i get some that curve right and left and down after a short distance but i blame co2 ussage and the paint.

I got some news one this weekend (beast paintball) and used my gf's hpa tank and BOOM. i was getting the results that i liked . Balls were fairly accurate at 100+ feet and flying far and straight. I couldnt be disappointed.
