| Re: Flatline or APEX? I have to say Apex as well,I have one on a BT M16 barrel and it is great.I also use it on 3-4 and it shoots nice and straight.I have run about 4 cases through mine and have only had 1 break, and I have used several kinds of paint.I have played with guys that have flattys and I have out distanced them on some shots for kills. The front guys love it when you can keep heads down from the back of the field. ![]() |

| Re: Flatline or APEX? I have them both. The apex wins be cause it can hide beautifully under a silencer, can be added to just about any barrel out there and can drop balls behind bunkers like a pigeion craping on a freshly washed car. ![]() |

| Re: Flatline or APEX? sorry if this is a stupid question cause im not very familiar with the Apex but what length barrel do you use?? does it put a back spin on the ball like the FL??

| Re: Flatline or APEX? The Apex comes attached to the end of the barrel. You can move it to another barrel if you want. My son moved it to his Freak barrel on his ION, works great. The Apex has a rubber flap at the end of the barrel. Just before the ball leaves the barrel, it hits the flap and spin is put on the ball. Depending on how you have the Apex rotated, you can use the spin to shoot in a curve (left/right), cause it to drop on top of people, or use the spin in the same way the Flatline does to get distance. The Flatline uses a cushion of air to promote the spin, where as the Apex uses the flap at the end. Apex just gives you more options and can be moved with you from gun to gun if you ever leave your Tippmann. |

It ALL relates to friction on the ball imparting the backspin. The backspin can be seen at distance when the ball starts curving up. Thus the sandblasted bore on the flatline, and the adjustable rubber ramp in the apex. FS I don't think the Apex is as picky.

No, I don't think so. I have never had a problem with mine with paint or mechanics. The only thing I find with it, is it takes time to learn the barrel settings and tricks well. I have used it for a while now, and once you learn it, its awesome. The flatline is a great barrel, but the apex gives you more options. my $ 0.02 JBJ ![]() |

| Re: Flatline or APEX? I have never used a Flatline barrel, but I have used/owned an Apex for about a month now (I've only shot about 1.5k balls through it though) and haven't really gotten a hang of some of the trick shots but honestly i love it, great distance but I'm not sure of the consistency.
