| Re: Flatline or APEX? APEX in my opinion. There's a good thread all about the Flatline somewhere. Use the "Search" or have a quick scan of the subforums. I don't think there's an 'Ultimate APEX thread'.

I've shot about 5 cases through my APEX now, never had a single break.

| Re: Flatline or APEX? i voted flatline...when i want my shot to fly straight, i want to be ale to keep my gun level...if i have to tilt it, why bother then? i like the flatline just because its not something i ahve to think about having to set or anything. its just fire and go. i like to be able to use a standard straight barrel with no apex on it and be able to hit targets, cause when i make first shot kills, it makes me feel a lot better that i have tought myself and adjsuted in such a way to adjust for range and be able ot make first shot kills at varying distances.

You can do the same thing with an APEX if you just leave it set to 3 or 4... it's only at the higher settings that you get that initial dip. Quit simply, the APEX just gives you more options. It's up to you if you choose to take advantage of them. It's also not as picky about paint as the flatline is. Personally, I almost always leave my APEX set to 3 or 4 (depending on the paintballs I'm using). Never tried to fool around with the trick shots either.
