How does Flatline work with Egrip?

I was wondering if anyone knew how the combo of flatline and egrip works together? I heard rumors from a few ppl that u get lots of breaks. But they had no proof to back it up. just things they heard from other ppl.

Re: How does Flatline work with Egrip?

The flatline is rough on on balls. With an Egrip shooting at 15bps, theres going to be more chance of a ball breaking in the barrel, than there would be at 7bps.

That being said, as long as you use decent paint, you shouldn't have a problem.

Re: How does Flatline work with Egrip?

I do belive that the flat line is hard on the balls, but it also has to do with the quality of Paint that you are shooting. Have you tried a thicker shell ball? That will also help. Keeping the bbm down is a good option, but if you are like me and want to paint the bunker across from you, then a thicker paintshell will help.

Re: How does Flatline work with Egrip?

The only reason you have a higher chance of a barrel-breakage, is because you're putting a higher volume of fire through the barrel. The REAL effect of ball breakage is the quality of paint you're using.

The egrip doesn't increase the likelihood of breakage per ball, though. It just puts the next ball in the barrel sooner. Assuming the FPS is the same, each ball has the same chance of leaving the barrel intact.

Re: How does Flatline work with Egrip?

Had no problems with the Flatline and the Egrip ( this is the old Egrip from Tippman ) combo. Used Demon paint from Capital Sports here in MT. As fast as I could pull the tigger is as fast as the paint would come out. No breaks. Good for laying down cover

I have both the e-Grip with A.P.E. board and Rhythm Innovations A5 Pro Single Trigger and a UMS 98/A5 Flatline barrel on my marker and have yet to experience any breaks. Have gone thru several cases so far...
