Metro 2033, welcome to a post apocalyptic masterpiece So I recently picked up my copy of Metro 2033 yesterday and have been playing mostly non-stop since. Now, this game is a brilliant masterpiece of proportions not seen in the gaming world for a long, long time. What turns a lot of people off this game from the start is the no multiplayer, but trust me, this game is better off without a tacked-on multiplayer experience. I have almost beat the game, and I must say this is one of the best releases since the original Halo. It's a totally different apocalyptic world than you expect, and the graphics render this game with superb beauty. The limited HUD is also another great feature, especially when you turn off the crosshairs, you become immersed in this Russian wasteland where hope for a better world meets the inhabitants of the scorched planet.
Now, no spoilers for the game, you'll just have to play for yourself to find out, but I recommend that this be one of the games at the top of your yearly game schedule (we all have the schedule) and you get out and play this game.
Kudos to 4A Games and THQ for bringing Dmitry Glukhovsk's novel to my HD screen.
Anyone else who has played this game, or who has questions and/or comments, please feel free to share them.
