Question Mounting a Pigtail Pressure switch.

A question for you tac-light owners. What options are there for mounting a pigtail switch to your gun?

Re: Mounting a Pigtail Pressure switch.

I used Velcro for mine. That way you can take it off any time you want with no issues. Just make sure you put the "fuzzy" side on your marker.

This also makes it really easy to relocate the pressure switch at will.

Re: Mounting a Pigtail Pressure switch.

I'm guessing the velcro adhesive comes off aluminum without issue?

Correct. It comes off with your standard cleaning solvents/soaps (even simple rubbing alcohol in most cases).

Re: Mounting a Pigtail Pressure switch.

I use a thick black rubber band. i have the pressure switch in my fore-grip. it is very secure and if need be, is movable, but it would take a little elbow greese.mail.jpg

Re: Mounting a Pigtail Pressure switch.

Where did you get the heavy duty band?

Re: Mounting a Pigtail Pressure switch.

depends on how you want it mounted, you can either do it how shartley mentioned. or if you use a foregrip, you can simply just use electrical tape, which will also help keep the wire in line too. There are also grips out there (And this depends on what type of remote switch/pigtail) you have) that have a mount built into them, so all you have to do is slide it in the slot provided.
There are many ways to do it, just depends on personal prefrence and comfort.

Re: Mounting a Pigtail Pressure switch.

Neither foregrips nor e-tape will work for what I'm planning. The velcro sounds promising, as does the rubber band idea.

Question is, where do I get a thick, black, heavy duty rubber band?
