Slide check remote questions

Have a couple question about a slide check. When you disconnect it does the air not come out of the gun or will it bleed out? Whats the difference between the pro connect and a regular slide check? The pro has a button to bleed the air out of the gun better connector? Im pretty lost been looking around for this info and keep comming up empty alittle help will be appreciated thanks.

Re: Slide check remote questions

a regular slide check will bleed air from the marker so that you can use a quick disconnect to take the remote off.
a pro connect sort of pops off and bleeds the air all at once through the use of a button.
many prefer the pro connect, as it is of higher quality and tends to need less maintenance.

Re: Slide check remote questions

The marker may retain the air - it depends on the regulator(s) installed. Most markers/regulators will vent the air back through the ASA.

Re: Slide check remote questions

By "stab", I assume you mean Palmer's Stabilizer. These regulators vent back and do not hold air.

Re: Slide check remote questions

The Proconnect is basically like an air tool hook up in a shop. Just unhook, and PSH!!! All at once bled.

Oh, and I have personally hooked, and unhooked my Proconnect 380 times so far, and no failures as of yet.

Re: Slide check remote questions

im considering a pro connect not really sure tho. I have read lots of people having problems with the regular slide checks. But I usually dont have problems with any of my gear even tho I read lots of people having problems with some of the stuff I have. I think most the time its user error or im just extremely lucky. but yeah rep all around thanks guys.

Re: Slide check remote questions

if your regular slide check proves to be a pain in the rear, then try a pro connect.
i havent used my slide check much, but it's not too bad from what i can tell.

Well, since I'm selling them, and people ask me all the time, I decided to start keeping track. I carry a notepad when I head to the field and mark it down. At the end of the day, I'll just sit there and plug, and unplug the connector for a while just to put some stress on it.
