CADPAT: Canadian Disruptive Pattern

The new Canadian patterns; CADPAT™ (Canadian Disruptive Pattern) Temperate Woodland (TW) and Arid Regions (AR). CADPAT TW has been rated best tropical and Temperate Camouflage by NATO soldiers in a recent scientific study. The Canadian studies show there is a 40 percent less chance of being detected from 200 meters away with CADPAT Versus Olive Drab

Re: Best camo pattern.

That is some sweet camo pattern. I am a big fan of multicam also but that looks like it blends well in the woods.

Idea Re: Best camo pattern.

Anyone who knows anything about camo understands that different conditions call for different types of camo. Terrain, world geography, even distance can drive the camo selection and be the difference between close quarters combat vs. battlefield type camos. The new digis work great in CQBs and the larger patterns work best across longer distances.

I think the most "unexploited" camos are naturally occurring in animal patterns. Tiger Stripe seems to be the only pattern that has caught on, but snakeskins, toads/frog patterns and even raccoons and other fuzzy animals have a natural camouflage that we can only wish to mimic. Think of anything you may have almost stepped on in the wild and use that!! I've got a set of tiger stripes that I have used for 2 decades and they are some of the most versatile camos out there (barring your not in a desert!).

Re: Best camo pattern.

bluh, another 'whats the best camo?' thread...

The best camo is the one that works best for YOU where YOU play paintball. Period!

Seriously, camo can be so overated anyways if your using cover right. Last time I played this newb in a blue t-shirt kept tagging along with me the whole day and he picked up things well. In fact in one game he flanked even farther than I did, swept completely behind the opposing team and shot four of their players. All this in a blue t-shirt..............................

Alot of guys in this forum, and on SO, have this whole "man, once I get my totally matching set of multicam, cadpat, marpat, acu, whatever, THEN i'll really be good!"

I think, woodsball fashion aside, it's not what you wear its how you play.
