| The problem with normal bipods such as those that connect to a weaver rail is that when you hit the floor, you risk loosening/damaging the barrel/shroud of your A5. Not only that, but using a fixed bipod restricts your aiming movement on whatever you're leaning on. The solution is a swivelling bipod but they aren't common to come across, especially outside the US, and they aren't cheap. So the half-way solution is a DIY swivel adaptor for a clamp bipod, such as the JCS one using a front sight post such as the Opsgear one. 1. The opsgear front sight post is flush with the barrel in this case, so we will have to file down the appropriate edge. 2. You'll need to hunt down a piece of metal pipe with the right diameter and thickness and then cut it to a suitable length so it fits inside the front sight post. 3. Slip the ring on and it should freely rotate. Now simply clamp the bipod onto the ring.

| Re: DIY Swivel Bipod Honestly, it is not something I would use, but it is a very cool idea. I love the ingenuity! Kudos to you! ![]()
