I'm looking to do some animations with graphs, figures, drawings, etc, but I don't want to make thousands of pics to create it. Like an animation program, I'd like to set up objects with a series of events and then the program does all the rendering. Most of the stuff I want to do is in 2D. Any ideas on what kind of software I could use for this type of task?

I eventually want to take a lot of my test results and make them more exciting to watch for YouTube. If I can animate stuff, I think it would help people understand better.

Ummm Flash? You do need to create the basic drawings, but the program takes care of the animations.....?
