After playing with my A-5 for six months, I decided to graduate to a Palmer Blazer over the summer. Unfortunately, I don't think we were meant to be together. I always find myself missing my A-5 R/T...that marker is so much fun! I'll probably put the Blazer up on the auction block eventually and start looking for a new second marker. I'm thinking it should be another A-5! Perhaps an e-grip with a flatline or something like that. Anyway, I was just wondering how many A-5s people own.

I had 4 at one point. I ended up buying 3 of them used and cheap. Which is why I bought them. I sold one last fall to a friend after loaning it to him for about 6 months. He loved it, I went over it and replaced a few parts that were wearing, and he hasn't had a problem with it since.
I will be selling another one to my brother-in-law that has started playing. So I'll be down to 2 soon. I'll still have one for a loaner, and my favorite orange beast.
I like them because they are easy to work on, and relaible.

Just one. I've got other markers, but only one A-5. I'm considering getting a second to build into a B-5. That, however, will be the only additional A-5 I'll own, and only because it's a radically different end result.

The Blazer is fine marker. It's just that I wasn't blown away by it...I never had a "wow" moment with it. Being able to lean into the R/T during MOUT situations makes me say wow. I have to wonder if a Tac-One would have been a better upgrade choice in that regard. (Perhaps I should have gone electro.)

I will say that the Cyclone with X-7 hopper has probably ruined other markers for me. I absolutely love how compact (vertically of course) it makes the marker. If only Q-pods had a larger capacity....

If you like the RT then you would like a Tac One with X valve. You get a properly tuned valve and an adjustable reg that you can set at about 1000 psi. Makes for a real fine shooting marker that could be compared to the RT. You just need a hopper that can feed it.

I have my primary A5 with e-grip, and I have a backup A5 with an RT. I usually bring it along in case something on my marker or someone elses breaks. That way i can either harvest it for parts or just play with it if necessary.

Both have Freak barrel backs, and I have an assortment of fronts so I can swap back and forth.

I have an 3 A5's and an X7. 2 of the 3 I run ape boards, one is stock.
