Well the rear sight isn’t really adjustable. But you can adjust the width of the grove on the rear sight, thus making it more or less accurate. By turning the rear sight. You can not adjust the height of the sight by turning it, but you can adjust the side to side adjustments width it.

Re: Rear Sight: How does it work?

I personally only keep mine on for aesthetics.. kinda looks silly with that big ole hole there!

I might fill it in with JB Weld or something once I get my striker rail or whatever i decide to slap on top.. then again, it never hurts to train to use the non-battery powered iron sights!

as for the sight itself, when I DO use it I usually keep it on the widest setting since I haven't had much opportunity to practice iron-sight sharpshooting, lol

Re: Rear Sight: How does it work?

It is only the width of the sight that is adjustable. I find it hard to use with a mask on. I use a red dot w/ offset mount. Or learn to sight down barrel. That is the most effective for snap shootin.

Re: Rear Sight: How does it work?

Unless you're not using a stock, sighting down the barrel is really the best way.

Or you can go to spec ops and purchase a dogleg stock.

Re: Rear Sight: How does it work?

the rear sight adjusts the width for ex ample use the wider sight for close engagements and use the narrow sight for sniping and picking off longer range targets.
