Re: What Camo do you wear?

hey I bouht a TAC vest from RAP4.com you can choose from 10 types of camo plus all the pockets are interchangeable & totally customizeable, internal pockets, and a spot for a camel pack.

Tactical Ten Paintball Vest

I LOVE mine... I can't imagine going back to the 6+1 harness I used to use.

I've been very happy with the smokey branch pattern, but I just can't find a vest in it.

There's a Ranger vest in Smokey Branch. And the pants seem equally as cheap. Maybe you can find a tailor friend to make you pod pouches from the pants to sew onto the vest? Just a thought.

And in my opinion, your hair matches great with the dry pine needles!

With the high humidity around here in the summer, I think I'd prefer a mesh vest. I wear a 5.11 vest at work, and in the summer sometimes it's too hot to even wear that.
But it does give me an idea...

If I could find an OD or coyote brown mesh vest and have someone make some pod holders and pouches for me in smokey branch... I'll have to look into that.

Re: What Camo do you wear?

Under my ghillie (Since burlap is hotter than hell) i wear a sleveless od shirt and use camo paint for my upper body. I only do this on Scenario games though, or that would get pricey...

Re: What Camo do you wear?

You know, if they really wanted to make some good camo for paintball they'd just make it a nice green, yellow, blue, pink splatter pattern

Re: What Camo do you wear?

I do a lot of hunting so I got a crap load of different types of camo. For PB I just use OD green, cause I find that with the nature of PB woods ball, that most times total concealment (being still, not moving blending into your surroundings) isn’t real practical. I use Mossy Oak for deer hunting, although deer don’t really care, they are more attuned to movement and smell, the cones and rods of their eyes don’t really register certain colors and that’s why hunters can wear blaze orange and deer will still walk up to you. Now when it comes to Turkey hunting (coming up soon can’t wait), a turkey’s eyes are more like our own (better) and can see color much like we do, plus the way their eyes are situated on their tiny little heads they can see movement in a much larger arch then we can. I have found over the years the best camo has been the ultra cheap surplus German Flecktar camo.

A couple of years ago while myself and ½ a dozen of my hunting bros where out for a week in the mountains turkey hunting we did a little experiment. While all of us had some form of commercial or mill surplus camo we each took turns to “conceal” ourselves within 100 yards or less of our campsite, and you couldn’t hid behind logs or trees or cover your self with leaves and debris (still be in open sight). A “contestant” had 5 minuets to go out and situate themselves and then everyone would come out of the tent and try and locate them. The Flecktar by far was the hardest to spot every time. I will admit no one had a Gillie suit so I can’t comment on that.
