Woodland BDU's for me

i like my proto stuff it breathes really good. plus im in cammies all day during the week so i dont wannna be in them on the weekends too. oh by the way they are green proto stuff just in case you were wonderin

All Black, head to toe. So does my squad. The rest of our team wears an assortment of camo. But we are the tip of the spear, and want them to know who they are up against

Yup, half ghillie... I almost never get hit.. People don't even see me.

i actually heard some where that the reason some swat teams wear all black is bc when a shocked person sees the all black figure, they freeze up and there's a delay in response time when compared to any other camo pattern out there. anyone else heard this? an ex-machine gunner (m-60) US Army who was deployed to kosovo is my source.

It's not true. The only thing close to this, is The uniform concept..
They choose rondom subjects as to not generalise the outcome. Studys show, ANY uniform, be it all black, all blue or all cammo.. It doesn't matter..

What it is, is that the persons brain see's someone/thing that IS the threat, it's not a man, it's not a uniform, to that person at that time, it is a machine or a un apposable force they are helpless to defend against.. Much like people claiming alian obduction... They just "Lock up"..

The reason why is cause we are still just animals with instinct.. A uniformed person in a time of shock or hightend fear looks to the brain to be a Powerfull preditor.. Remember All of the creatures that naturaly prey on man, are uniformed... (all one uniform color or pattern). The brain has a hrad time telling the diffrence when in hightend emotional states..

thx for the clarification. anyone here use ACU durring night ops.. (lol) i've heard it has a UV reflective coating on it to help people with NODs see 'friendlies' as well as the IR tabs

I don't use it, but they have been using that tech for years..
The brits have been sewing those IR beads into BDU's for like 10 years..

But I don't like the Idea, and I'll tell you why... The Tech is old, and everyone has it. It's as old as the UV TV remote.. and the fact is that almost ANY digital camera can detect IR/UVs.. To test it, point a remote control at your digital camera, you will see a light come on, that's UV... So all they do is flood the feild with UV (you can't see it) but throught the cameras it lights up the feild.. It's very old tech and could very well give your position away..

Hahaha, that would be so funny.... Some people might buy BDUs not even knowing they have the UV beads in there..
