| Re: Paintball in the rain? Don't really have much of a choice here Heh, it's pretty fun. Around here though rain is usually accompanied by strong winds. I've played in the worst the pacific north-west has to offer. It kind of sucks when the balls leave the barrel and make a u-turn though, that's when you know it's time to go home. ![]()

| Re: Paintball in the rain? Like some others have said, I prefer to play in the rain. . . For a few different reasons... 1) It keeps you cool. You dont have to worry about "over heating"... It helps dissipate the heat away from your body. 2) Falling rain masks the sounds of your movement. (unless your 300lbs and at a dead sprint . . . No covering that up lol) Having a good quality mask will help with the fogging issue. For example, I had the Vforce Grill and I couldn't MAKE it fog. Believe me, I got finger prints on the inside of the lense once. I tried to make it fog so I could wipe it off . . . No luck! lol Having a great set of goggles/mask can really make a sub-par day a great day! I have an Egrip as well... But, it's on my X7. The Egrip for the X7 is waterproof! ![]() "A bad day playing paintball is better than a great day at work"! 'Bomber

| Re: Paintball in the rain? i dont mind the rain,as long as you seal up your paint its no big deal.i would prefer dry and in the 70s but weather can be a big help sometimes.rainy paintball days are like rainy fishin days,it keeps the sidewalk sissys home watchin t.v and out of my way.

LOL exact same thing happened to me on the 29th of December, it had rained all night and the field was like a sponge. I had dove off of a castle and into a mud puddle, running as fast as I could (or so I though) I stayed in one place, and eventually fell down in the mud. ![]() Ah, fun times! Quote:
Not to mention that it gets cloudy, and allows for more shadowy hiding places on the field. The sun also does not reflect off of your gear. |

| Re: Paintball in the rain? I'm paintballing today at about 2:00. There's a slight drizzle which i think is perfect. The ground will be damp and it'll be easier to sneak up on the other team!

| Re: Paintball in the rain? Rain schmain !! Play it !! Rain hides movement noise and erases tracks. It also helps you hide better because visibility goes down. Also, most folks want to stay comfy and as dry as possible - which means they aren't as focused on their mission as they should be... And another hidden plus - after several days in the woods -- free shower !! lol --TAG-- Last edited by TAG : 01-06-2008 at 09:12 PM. |
