Re: Paintball in the rain?

I played my last game in POURING rain... It was pouring so bad, you could barley hear shots being taken at you... The only problem I had was water beaded up on my goggles... As long as you leave the beads of water, and don't try to wipe them off you can see good enough.. My friend wiped and he was complaining the rest of the day. It was really cold on that day, so co2 was coming out of barrels in liquid form... We still had a blast of a day.... I voted yes, because as long as your marker isnt electro, it makes for a fun day.

Re: Paintball in the rain?

I live in Spain and my local field (size of a small country) is a dry river bed, strewn with boulders and the odd burnt out car, surrounded by rocky, well forested steep sides. It's a fantastic venue but I've never had chance to play in the rain. I would love it!!!
The heat gets pretty intense, anything to cool it down.

Re: Paintball in the rain?

I'm not one to run out and scream "IT'S RAINING...LET'S PLAY PAINTBALL!!!" But I have played in the rain. If I'm already playing...and it starts to rain...I'll keep going. But if i wake up on a day that I'm gonna play...and it's already raining...I'll crawl back into bed.

Haven't tried it yet, but I have my stock trigger with me at all times for that weather so I don't ruin the egrip.

Re: Paintball in the rain?

I have to say, yes, but with qualifiers. I will not play in a downpour. Light to moderate rain is fine, but after that I see it as a safety issue.

Now if you ask my WIFE, she will say NO... unless there is shelter of some kind for her.... she always watches my gear when I am out on the field playing. LOL

(On another note.... My multicam uniform is not that baggy on me, actually it is quite form fitting LOL and when it gets wet the hits have NO padding. OUCH! But hey, what is a good game of paintball without a little pain? )

Re: Paintball in the rain?

Yeah, you got to love a long day of playing in the rain, and the paintballs start to get spongey with the extra moisture that they have absorbed..

Ouch!
