PBJ Time Loose front Grip

On my A5, I noticed today that the front grip is extremely loose. If you look on my A5 it is very loose and rocks back and forth where you can adjust the placement of your grip. How do I tighten this and make it stable? I want it to be as far up as possible, but I also want it to be stiff. Thanks!

Re: Loose front Grip

Are you referring to a stock foregrip, or an aftermarket/mod piece?

If it's the Tippmann stock grip, use a dab of BLUE Loc-Tite thread sealer on the bolt when you tighten it. On other thing that may be helpful is a thin piece of rubber between the foregrip and the A5 body. GO get a piece of toolbox drawer liner sheet - that should be thin enough, and also inexpensive.

If it's an aftermarket/mod/custom piece, we'll probably need picew to try to help...

Re: Loose front Grip

Put a washer on the bolt before you drop it into the grip. Add more washers if necessary.

Re: Loose front Grip

If you put a washer on to the bolt, use a lock washer. That will help keep tension on the bolt when it is screwed tight.

Re: Loose front Grip

I honestly have no idea where you guys are talking about. Are you talking about the inside of the gun? I can't open my gun because my red dot sight is on a rail and I can't get the rail off the top. I need to figure out how, because I can't see any way of getting the rail off considering it requires like the worlds smallest allen wrench or screwdriver, I can't tell.

Re: Loose front Grip

Hmmm maybe some pics on what exactly on what you need help on...

The front grip

There is a allen screw inside the grip it self with a flat washer

To tighten this you need a 3/16 allen wreanch... Also to confuse you even more the bolt screw into a square nut in side the receiver it self.. To gain access to this yes you need to split the receiver half's .

Well I hope this is what you need and as Tag said earlier put some blue loctite on the screw to keep it from coming loose again//
Also if the front grip is a after market one Lapco or DOP

they have a different screw in which case you would need to add some washers to take up the slack (the bolt mite be to long) becarefull if the bolt is to long you can damage the bottom of the receiver by tightening the bolt and pushing it up in to the receiver bottom

Re: Loose front Grip

Like it was said, remove the cap screw and put in a flat and lock washer on it.

Re: Loose front Grip

I see. The inside of mine has no washer, which is probably why it is loose.
